Bikram Hot Yoga is a therapeutic series of
26 Hatha Yoga postures and
2 breathing techniques, practiced in a room heated to
105 degrees with 40% humidity.
The postures in the series have been selected and sequentially ordered to systematically and synergistically help improve the condition and physiological systems of the body, tame the “monkeys” of the mind, and thus strengthen the spirit. While the postures are active, it is in the stillness of the postures where systemic physiological, anatomical and biochemical benefits are gained,
providing for a sense of rejuvenation and well-being.
The series is challenging, both physically and psychologically, but is designed for all levels from beginner to experienced. Everyone can practice this series, regardless of age, experience, shape or size.
